Next-Gen Maruti Swift Design
The exterior styling of the new-gen Swift remains reminiscent of the current model, a key selling point for the Swift. However, it receives subtle cosmetic changes, including:
- A new all-black octagonal grille with honeycomb mesh inserts and gloss-black surrounds.
- A new clamshell bonnet and slightly reprofiled front and rear bumpers.
- Top-spec variants will feature 15-inch dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels, while lower trims will have 14-inch steel rims.
- Sharper headlamp clusters with LED DRLs for the top-spec trim.
- Completely redesigned taillight clusters with new C-shaped internals.
- Rear-door handles moved to a conventional place underneath the window panel.
Next-Gen Maruti Swift Interior
The new-gen Swift is expected to offer a dual-tone cabin for the top-spec variant and an all-black cabin for other variants. Interior features include:
- Revised dashboard layout with new AC vents and a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment display.
- Semi-digital instrument console with a revised colored MID.
- Features such as a six-speaker Arkamys audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree parking camera with dashcam support, cruise control, powered ORVMs, automatic climate control, steering-mounted buttons, and push-button start/stop.
Powertrain
The significant change in the fourth-gen Swift is the introduction of an all-new 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, replacing the previous 1.2-liter 4-cylinder K12 dual-jet petrol unit. Key specifications include:
- Codenamed Z12E, this new 3-cylinder motor is expected to come with a mild hybrid setup as standard across all variants.
- The engine is projected to produce 81 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque.
- Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
